Medvedev promised to help Kazakhstan with the results of the remains of the fighters against the “Russian occupation”
At the meeting of the Prime Ministers of the States members of the Eurasian economic Union in Sochi the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov addressed to his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev with an unusual request. He wants Moscow Astana returned the remains of two prominent leaders of the rebellion against the “Russian occupation” – Kenesary Khan (killed in 1847, directed the gift to the king in Petersburg) and Cakes-Batyr (liquidated by the red army in 1923, the skull is kept in the Kunstkamera). Medvedev promised to give a Commission to study the issue. That is, most likely the remains will be given, and we will soon see the pilgrimage of the Kazakh authorities and they organize the masses to ashes “national heroes”. This is quite in line with the policy of the current authorities. No wonder our dear Eurasian ally Khan, the President argued that “for 150 years we were a colony of Russia, Kazakhs nearly lost their traditions, customs, language, religion”.
