A number of cinematographers of St. Petersburg — Chairman of the Union of cinematographers Sergei Snezhkin, actors, Mikhail Boyarsky, Alisa Freundlich and others — sent a letter to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, where he expressed concern about the idea of privatization of film studios and offered to discuss the matter at a meeting of the presidential Council on culture and the arts.
