Opinion: the publishing industry ignores the existence of Linux and Wikipedia

image When it comes to copyright, in the discussions endlessly sounds one and the same idea: “the work of the author should be paid”. Only here the statement is, to put it mildly, is inconsistent with the existence of Wikipedia and the experiences of owners of three billion smartphones, which means that hardly falls into the category of truth.

Repeatedly recurring to the allegation that “the work of the author should be paid”, involuntarily offers us no less urgent question: “as the authors will pay them”?
